Celebrating 50 years since the release 

of the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Album

 

Sunday 10th September @ 2pm
The Springwood Theatre & Community Hub

 

PROGRAM:
 

Join Blue Mountains Orchestra in a tribute to The Beatles on the 50th anniversary of the release of the Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the biggest selling album ever.

 

Young Blue Mountains voices join the orchestra in a medley of Beatles favourites arranged by Penrith-born composer Graham Howard – The Fool on the Hill, When I’m 64, Let it Be, Eleanor Rigby, Get Back, Imagine.

 

The orchestra will also play some orchestral favourites – Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony, Incidental Music by Grieg for the Ibsen play Peer Gynt, and dances from the ballet Three-Cornered Hat by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla. Something for everybody!

 

Training Orchestra will play several musical items
